This weekend I appeared alongside Mark Clearview and The Sentimentalists (Mysterion & Steffi Kay) in a wonderful live comedy magic show hosted by Ben Train.

Ben shared his magical origin story. The Sentimentalists invaded the dreams of an unsuspecting audience member and Mark managed to complete one trick in twenty nine minutes. Thank you to everyone who came out to share some live magic and great laughs.

Magic at the Cathedral

Coming up later this month I’ll be appearing at Bar Cathedral along with Chris Westfall and Bella Magic. Advance tickets are now available online.

From the organizers:

Come join us at the legendary Bar Cathedral stage for an incredible night of magic and illusions. We have 3 of Toronto's finest magicians to perform for you, and you are sure to be amazed and entertained!

It's just $19 in advance and $25 at the door. We are able to keep costs lower due the generosity of Bar Cathedral in supporting local performers.

Your featured performers are:

Bella Magic: Bella has been traveling and working as a circus performer for the past 9 years all over the world. She headlined Canada's Wonderland Freakshow stage, performed private parties for Justin Bieber's father, juggled for Sean Penn, and assisted Fenyx Fyre on Canada's Got Talent. Her skills range from magic, juggling, sideshow stunts, and much more. Come see this amazing performer do what she does best!

James Alan: A professional magician based in Toronto, James is a magician and sleight of hand artist who has performed for large stages across Canada. He's been featured at the Summerworks Performance Festival, The Hamilton Fringe Festival and The Wychwood Theatre. He brings his “thought provoking, funny, astonishing and thoroughly entertaining” show to our stage, and we couldn't be more excited!

Chris Westfall: His high energy magic shows have earned Chris the reputation as one of Toronto's most popular magicians. You can expect lots of audience participation, and even more laughs and amazing illusions. Chris has performed all across Canada, has been featured in several publications, and won several magic competitions. You're sure to love his act, and we're VERY excited to have him on our stage.

This will be an entertaining, hilarious, and amazing evening. See you there!

Hocus Jokus

This Sunday, I’ll be appearing on “Hocus Jokus” at Yuk Yuk’s in Toronto alongside Mark Clearview, The Sentiementalists and Ben Train. Will it be a magic show? Will it be a comedy show? Unsurprisingly, it’s a trick question: It’s both.

Join us for an exciting evening of magic and comedy at one of Canada’s most celebrated comedy clubs. Tickets are now available online.

Tonight - With An Extra Helping of Magic

I’d like to invite all readers to join us this evening for a special virtual magic show. I will be hosting the show along with over a dozen magicians from the Sid Lorraine Hat & Rabbit Club, a (not so) secret society. Our goal is twofold. First to share some magic and have a little bit of fun this holiday season. Second, we are raising money for the Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto.

As of this moment, we have already raised $3,000 and the show hasn’t even started yet. Please consider joining us below for a nice fun show. (The show will be live at 8PM Eastern on Thursday, December 9, but we will leave the recording up for at least a few weeks for those

A Virtual Holiday Magic Fundraiser

Coming up in two weeks, I’ll be hosting a special holiday magic fundraiser online raising money for the Daily Bread Food Bank. Since it’s still not a fabulous idea to get together in person, we will be performing virtually. Over a dozen members of our local (not so) secret magic society, The Sid Lorraine Hat & Rabbit Club will be sharing some fun holiday magic from home.

Last year’s fundraiser raised over $7,000 and we’ll try our best to beat that this year. If you’re free, please consider joining us on Thursday, December 9 at 8PM Eastern to watch the show. We are already accepting donations for our campaign. All funds go directly to the Daily Bread Food Bank.

Bring Magic Home Friday Nights

It’s been a while, but we’re thrilled to announce a new weekly show, this time happening virtually. While my last long-running show, Magic & Martini, was all about getting all fancy dressed up, this new show is meant to be enjoyed curled up on the couch with a snack, and possibly with a cat jumping up and upstaging me… we’ll see.

The shows will take place every Friday night (minus Xmas Day and New Years Day). To accommodate for the fact that we’re virtual, there will be two separate performances at 8PM Easter and 8PM Pacific, although you can reserve for whichever show is more convenient for you no matter where in the world you are.

This is a brand new show, with a mixture of close-up magic (that you can now see up close on screen from thousands of miles away) and interactive magic where I play with you, your mind and possibly even cause strange things to happen in your own home. The shows have been a tremendous amount of fun so far and we hope you’ll come and enjoy them as well.
